Section 24A(1) in University of Rajasthan Act, 1946
(1)The Faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce shall consist of the following :-(i)the Dean of the Faculty;(ii)University Professors and Readers in the subjects assigned to the Faculty;(iii)all Heads of departments within the Faculty in the colleges affiliated upto the degree standard, provided they have at least 8 years experience of teaching degree classes in subject of the Faculty;(iv)members co-opted by the Faculty concerned from among teachers in affiliated colleges within the Faculty, the number of such members not to exceed five in the case of the Faculty of Arts and not to exceed two in the case of each of the Faculties of Science and Commerce;(v)members co-opted by the Faculty concerned from among persons, who are not teachers in the University or in any of its affiliated colleges, the number of such members not to exceed five in the case of the Faculty of Arts and not to exceed three in the case of each of the Faculties of Science and Commerce; and(vi)the Conveners of the Boards of Studies in the Faculty, who are not otherwise included under the foregoing clauses.
