Leader of the Opposition has every right to intervene any moment he likes. I am thankful to his leadership also in this matter. My only submission is the Parliamentary standard and decorum. If the hon. Leader of Opposition speaks something, please accommodate the Government to respond to it. SHRI L.K. ADVANI (GANDHINAGAR): I believe that you want to adjourn the House. I would suggest that let it be adjourned for the tenth of May rather than the people be kept in suspension as to whether the Government is really thinking of adjourning sine die today. I have with me the bulletin of the Lok Sabha Secretariat which says that the sittings in second part of the Budget Session will be held from Wednesday the 10th of May to Tuesday, the 23rd of May, 2006. If there is any change in this schedule, then that change should be with the consent of all the political parties. If the Government arbitrarily does it, I would like to tell the Government as well as the House that we would be forced to go to the President and meet with him not to agree to this kind of prorogation in between, and not to agree to any Ordinance being issued on this particular issue. I caution the Government not to do this without the consent of all the Parties, as the earlier schedule was also rescheduled with the consent of all the Parties. Thank you, Sir.… (Interruptions) MR. I would like to make it abundantly clear with all humiliation to Advaniji, I am also in this House since 1971. I know what is the Government’s discretion, what the Government’s decision and how the Government really functions, be it this Party or that Party. Ultimately it is for the Chair to decide when the House will be concluded. … (Interruptions) You just allow me to conclude. Sir, I know since morning the heat is generated on some reported news item. This Government, I can tell you, is not afraid of meeting any challenge. Transparently, we have to dispose every issue whatever it may be. We will not undermine the authority of the Parliament and the consensus of the leaders. At no point of time, we did it. If any situation arises today, tomorrow, day after, or in the next Session, we shall certainly consult the leaders. But, unnecessarily it appears to me just to avoid the debate on Scorpene defence purchase, the whole thing is being demonstrated since morning to evening.
