182. Purity of water for Domestic purpose.
(1)The Chief Municipal Executive Officer/ Municipal Executive Officer shall, either on his own or through any other agency, at all times, ensure that the water in any waterworks belonging to the Municipality, from which water is supplied for domestic purposes, is wholesome.(2)The Municipality or the other agency, as the case may be, shall, when so required by any competent authority under any law for the time being in force, arrange for the examination of water supplied for human consumption for the purpose of determining whether the water is wholesome.
