Section 85 in The Calcutta Hackney-Carriage Act, 1919
85. Hackney-carriage outside Calcutta to ply within certain radius. -
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, a hackney-carriage registered under this Act in any town or local area outside Calcutta may ply for hire in any place outside Calcutta within a radius of six miles from such town or local area.(2)All the provisions of this Act shall be applicable to the case of a hackney-carriage plying within such radius so far as the same may be applicable in each case.
