Section 144(2) in The Mizoram Autonomous District Council (Constitution and Conduct of Business of the District Councils) Rules, 1974
(2)At least seven days before the date fixed for the poll every candidate shall forward to the Returning Officer of the constituency the names of one agent and two relief agents appointed in writing by the candidate, to act as his polling agents at each polling station or polling booth:Provided that in case of the revocation of appointment of, or the death of polling agent, the Returning Officer may allow the appointment of another agent in his place at any time before the poll is taken.
