9. Appointment of Cane Commissioner.
(1)The Director of Agriculture shall ex-officio be the Cane Commissioner for the purposes of this Act, provided that the Government may at any time appoint any other officer or person to be the Cane Commissioner.(2)The Cane Commissioner shall exercise and perform the powers and functions conferred or imposed upon him by or under this Act.
