1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Tirunelveli City Municipal Corporation Act, 1994.(2)It extends to the City of Tirunelveli.(3)It shall come into force on such date, as the Government may, by notification, appoint.The Tirunelveli City Municipal Corporation Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 28 of 1994) came into force on the 1st June 1994. vide G. O. Ms. No. 153, M.A. & W.S., dated 1st June 1994. (Notification No. II (2)/ MW/ 2021/ (a-2).
