19. Powers and functions of University Extension Education Council.
- The University Extension Education Council shall exercise the following powers and perform the following functions :-(a)to supervise, direct and control all extension activities of the University;(b)to draw and approve the extension education and training programmes for execution through extension wings and Krishi Bigyan Kendra and to review and monitor the extension activities of the University;(c)to compile annual reports of extension wings and Krishi Bigyan Kendra and to prepare each year annual report on extension activities of the University and submit it to the Executive Council;(d)to consider and review the financial requirements for extension programmes and prepare annual budget for extension activities of the University for its approval by the Executive Council;(e)to make proposal to the Executive Council on different plans and measures for improvement and promotion of extension education and training programmes maintained by the University;(f)to make provisions for the publication of extension newsletters, bulletins, and periodicals from time to time for providing updated knowledge on technology development in agriculture and allied sciences to the farmer community;(g)to consider any other academic matter referred to it by the Academic Council;(h)to exercise all other powers and perform all other functions conferred or imposed on it by or under this Act or the Statutes.
