(1)The State Government may appoint an officer not below the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police to assist the Director General of Police to be in-charge of direction and supervision of the Police deployed in Railway Areas.(2)The supervision of a Police District in a Railway Area shall vest in a Superintendent of Police.
