Section 2(57) in Assam Notified Urban Areas (Other than Guwahati) Building Rules, 2014
(57)"green building" means abuilding which uses least possible quantity of water and electrical energy, optimizes energy efficiency, makes use of alternate sources of energy such as sunlight and solar energy, conserve natural resources including rain water harvesting, generate less waste in terms of energy and material and provides healthier spaces for occupants compared to a conventional building;
