(1)The owner, agent or manager shall take steps to reduce the noise level and to reduce the exposure of work persons to noise.(2)No person shall be allowed to work without appropriate ear protection in an area if he is exposed to an equivalent continuous noise level exceeding 90 dB(A).(3)No person shall enter or be allowed to enter an area in which the sound level is 140 dB(A) or more.(4)The Chief Inspector of Mines may, from time to time, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify the permissible noise exposure in any area or place in a mine.
