Section 6 in The First Statute under the Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968
6. The Board of Studies shall exercise all the powers and perform all the duties conferred on it by the Assam Agricultural University Act. It will be the duty of such Board to-
(1)propose to the Academic Council, courses of study for the various programmes of instructions offered in the faculty concerned ;(2)propose to the Academic Council, the curricula in the Faculty and advise the Council in regard to all questions referred to it regarding the Syllabi for various under-graduate and post-graduate programme and(3)review from time to time standard of teaching and evaluation of students and guide student's scholastic programmes in the faculty concerned and propose new rules or changes in existing rules to the Academic Council.
