Section 244(1)(i) in The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats And Industrial Townships Act, 1965

(i)require the owner or the person in-charge of such well, tank, or other place by written notice to take such measures as may be necessary to prevent danger to public health or prevent the spread of any dangerous disease;
