Section 2 in The Assam Urban Areas Rent Control Rules, 1969
2. Definition.
- In these rules, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,-(a)"Act" means the [Assam Urban Areas Rent Control Act, 1966 (Assam Act II of 1967)] [Now the Assam Act No. XVII of 1972];(b)All words and expressions used in these rules and not defined herein but defined in the Act shall respectively have the same meaning as assigned to them in the Act.
