26. Return on Equity.
(1)The value base for the equity shall be 30% of the normative capital cost as determined under regulation 21:Provided that in case of project specific determination, the value base of equity shall be restricted to the actual amount of equity or 30% of the capital cost admitted by the Commission, whichever is lower, in accordance with the provisions of regulation 23.(2)The normative return on Equity shall be 17% per annum on pre tax basis and shall not be subject to any adjustment on account of any taxes, or changes in the tax rates, under the Income Tax Act.
