Section 8(3) in The Assam Secondary Education (Provincialised) Service Rules, 1982
(3)Physical fitness. - A candidate for direct recruitment shall be-(i)of sound health both mentally and physically and free from any organic defect or bodily infirmity likely to interfere with the efficient performance of his duties ; and(ii)require to undergo medical examination before appointment to the service.
