70. Election of President & Vice-President of Zilla Parishad.
(1)When the Zilla Parishad is constituted under Section64, the Deputy Commissioner shall call a meeting of the Zilla Parishad (which shall be called the first meeting of the Zilla Parishad) for the election of a President and a Vice-President by and from amongst the members directly elected under Section 65 (1).(2)The election of the President or the Vice-President of the Zilla Parishad and filling up vacancies in the said office and the determination of disputes relating to such election shall be in accordance with such rules as may be prescribed by the State Government/State Election Commission.
