Section 153(2) in The Chhattisgarh Motor Vehicles Rules, 1994
(2)If the article is claimed within the prescribed time mentioned in sub-rule (1) then-(a)If the article is claimed by not more than one person, the person authorised in sub-rule (1) may after making such enquiries as he deems fit and if necessary after taking indemnity agreement from the claimant hand over the article to the claimant.(b)If the article is claimed by two or more than two persons, the officer authorised under sub-rule (1) shall hand over the same lo the officer-in-charge of the nearest Police Station.
