Section 29(1) in Punjab Self-Supporting Co-operative Societies Act, 2006
(1)The general body may, by passing a special resolution, terminate the membership of a member if he-(a)commits any act which is prejudicial to the interest of the self-supporting co-operative society; or(b)persistently makes default in payment of his dues or fails to comply with the provisions of the bye-laws; or(c)becomes a member of any other self-supporting co-operative society with the same objects, falling under the local jurisdiction of the self-supporting co-operative society:Provided that no such resolution shall be passed without giving the member concerned an opportunity of being heard.
