Section 79(1) in The Himachal Pradesh Police Act, 2007
(1)The Sub-Divisional Police Officer shall visit the scene of crime in all cases of serious offences personally at the earliest opportunity but in any case within 48 hours and shall ensure that all requisite legal, scientific and forensic requirements for proper investigation are fully met.
