Section 3 in Inspector Class III, Prohibition and Excise, Competitive Examination Rules, 2012

3. Eligibility.

(1)A candidate shall not be qualified for admission to the examination unless he is,-
(a)a citizen of India, or
(b)a subject of Nepal, or
(c)a subject of Bhutan, or
(d)a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmara, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam, with the intention of permanently settling in India:
Provided that candidates belonging to categories (b), (c) and (d) shall be required to furnish a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government.
(2)A candidate who is required to produce a certificate under sub-rule (1), may be allowed to appear at the examination conducted by the Board on production of the same.
(3)A candidate shall have attained the age of 21 years and shall not have attained the age of 28 years on the date specified by the Board in the advertisement.
