Section 191 in The Rajasthan Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2009
191. Water for fire fighting.
- The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that-(a)adequate number of water outlets is provided on excavation or tunneling work and are readily made accessible throughout the tunnel for fire fighting purposes and such water outlets are maintained or effective fire fighting;(b)all air locks are equipped with fire fighting facilities at excavation or tunneling work;(c)an audible fire alarm is provided to warn the building workers whenever a fire breaks out on an excavation or tunneling work;(d)adequate number and types of fire extinguishers, in accordance with relevant national standards, are provided and made readily available to fight any outbreak of fire at an excavation of tunneling work;(e)fire extinguishers with vaporizing liquids and high pressure carbon dioxide are not used in tunnels or other confined spaces;(f)the instructions regarding steps to be followed to fight out break of fire, at an excavation or tunneling work, written in Hindi or local language understood by the majority of the building workers employed on such excavation or tunneling work, are displayed at conspicuous and vulnerable places of such excavation or tunneling work;
