Section 27(1) in Tamil Nadu Farmers' Management of Irrigation Systems Election Rules, 2003
(1)Every elector about whose identity is satisfied shall arrange to allow his left forefinger to be inspected and an indelible ink mark to be put on the back of the left forefinger on the ridge between the skin and the root of the nail.
