Section 21 in The Chhattisgarh Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009

21. State Council of Senior Citizens.

(1)The State Government may, by order, establish a State Council of Senior Citizens to advise the State Government on effective implementation of the Act and to perform such other functions in relation to senior citizens as the State Government may specify.
(2)The State Council shall consist of the following members, namely :-
(i) Minister, Government of Chhattisgarh Departmentof Social Welfare Chairperson
(ii) Principal Secretary/Secretary, Social Welfare Members
(iii) Principal Secretary/Secretary, Home Members
(iv) Principal Secretary/Secretary, Health Members
(v) Principal Secretary/Secretary, Finance Members
(vi) Commissioner, Public Relations Members
(vii) Two Social Workers (Working for the welfare forsenior citizens) Members
(viii) Representative of Pensioners Association Members
(ix) Commissioner/Director, Social Welfare Member/ Secretary
(3)The State Council shall meet at least once in six months.
(4)Tenure of the members of the State Council, other than ex-officio members, rules of procedure of the Council and other ancillary matters shall be such as the State Government may, by order, specify.
