Section 26(1) in The M.P. Janpad Panchayat and Zila Panchayat Standing Committees (Election of Members, Powers and Functions and Term of Members and Procedure for the Conduct of Business) Rules, 1994
(1)All items of business brought before any meeting of the Standing Committee shall be decided on the basis of consensus of opinion among the members of the Committee :Provided that if there is sharp difference of opinion on any issue the presiding authority shall take vote on it.
