Section 6(1) in Kerala Captive Elephants (Management and Maintenance) Rules, 2012
(1)The owner or the person who is managing the elephant on contract or the person who has taken the elephant for own purpose shall ensure timely supply of wholesome feed with variety, in required quantity to each elephant. Green fodder shall be supplemented by ration as, prescribed by the Veterinary doctor.
