Section 135(1) in The Howrah Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
(1)The Corporation shall, within the limits of its capacity, provide for the supply of -(a)filtered water in all parts of Howrah for domestic purposes, and(b)unfiltered water for the purpose of street-watering, flushing of municipal drains, public privies and urinals, gully pits and extinguishing fire.
