(1)Whenever any animal in charge of any person dies, the person in charge thereof shall, within twenty four hours, either, -(a)Convey the carcass to a place provided or appointed for this purpose under section 279 for the final disposal of carcasses of dead animals; or(b)Give notice of the death to the Chief Officer of the Municipality, whereupon he shall cause the carcass to be disposed of;
