Section 1 in The West Bengal District Planning Committee Act, 1994
1. Short title, extent and commencement. -
(1)This Act may be called the West Bengal District Planning Committee Act, 1994.(2)It extends to the whole of West Bengal, except the areas to which the provisions of-(a)the Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act 1980, or(b)the Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council Act, 1988, orany part of modification thereof, apply or may hereafter be applied.(3)It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint.
