40. Notification of flood basin
- After notification of an area as flood basin under section 79 of the Act, the Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control shall cause a public notice exhibited at conspicuous places in the flood basin area for information of general public specifying therein the boundaries of the basin and the prohibitions and restrictions on use of land covered by the basin. Such notices shall also be individually given to the owners and occupiers of the land in the basin area.
