36. Government E-Market (GeM).
(1)The Government of India hosts an online Government e-Market Place (GeM) on pilot basis, for common use goods and services. The electronic and online procurement process on GeM is end to end from placement of supply order to payment to suppliers.(2)A procuring entity may view, compare and directly purchase online, the goods and services offered by various suppliers on GeM under such conditions, as may be prescribed.
