Section 221 in The Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994
221. Delegation of powers.
(1)The State Government may, by notification, direct that any power exercisable by it under this Act, except the power to make rule, may also be exercisable by such officer as may be mentioned therein, in such cases and subject to such conditions, if any, as may be specified therein.(2)The Director may, by written order, direct that any power exercisable by him under this Act or rules, or regulations or bye-laws may also be exercisable by such officer as may be mentioned therein, in such cases and subject to such conditions, if any, as may be specified therein.
