(1)Subject to the provisions of sub-rule (2), the State Government may, by order in writing, exempt any factory or category of factories from all or any of the provisions of these rules. subject to such conditions as it may specify in such order.(2)No order under sub-rule (1) shall be issued unless, in the opinion of the State Government, the requirements of these rules having regard to the frequency or the nature of manufacturing process carried out in that factory, which involves use, storage, handling or processing of hazardous chemicals or which involves generation of such substances, are impracticable or otherwise not necessary for the safety, health and protection of workers.(3)Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1) and (2), the State Government may, in its discretion, by order, revoke the exemption granted under sub-rule (1), at any time.
