18. [ Terms of office of non-official members of Committee. [Substituted by G. N. of 5.3.1975.]
(1)Every non-official member of a Committee shall hold office for a period of three years commencing on the date of his appointment but shall continue in office until his successor is duly appointed :Provided that, the Slate Government may extend the said period by a further period not exceeding twelve months, as it may decide.(2)A non-official member shall, unless disqualified or removed from office, be eligible for reappointment.]
