43. Election and term of Vice President.
- [(1) The President and the elected Councillors of the Council shall, [* * *] [Substituted by M.P. Act No. 18 of 1997.] at its first meeting as referred to in [sub-section (1) of Section 55] [Substituted by M.P. Act No. 20 of 1998.] elect a Vice President from amongst the elected Councillors in the prescribed manner.(2)[ The meeting under sub-section (1) shall be presided over by such officer as mentioned in sub-section (2) of Section 55] [Substituted by M.P. Act No. 20 of 1998.].(3)The term of the Vice President shall be coterminous with the term of the Council.]
