Section 38 in The Orissa Rules for the Preparation and Publication of State Text-Books for Primary Schools, 1963

38.

Instructions to writers of text-books-Writers of text-books are required to observe these rules and abide by the following, instructions:
(a)Each manuscript should be written in ink neatly and legibly one side of the paper. In preparing the duplicate copy carbon paper should not be used.
(b)The paper to be used for the manuscript should not be of less weightage than ten pounds per ream of foolscap size.
(c)Each page of the manuscript should be 13" x 8".
(d)A margin of about two inches in width should be left on the side of the paper used for writing.
(e)The manuscript should be properly stitched on the left side.
(f)Each Chapter should have a heading and the pages should be numbered at the right hand top corner of each page.
(g)Each manuscript should have a thick cover on it.
