(1)Every vessel over 100 ton shall be provided with an echo sounder. and every vessel shall be provided with at least one hand lead line 15 fathoms in length with lead of at least 3.2 kg weight provided that small vessel plying in shallow waters shall be provided with a depth measuring pole or rod suitably marked.
