Section 192 in The Goa, Daman And Diu Land Revenue Code, 1968

192. Revision.

- The Government [or such officer as the Government may specify in this behalf] [Inserted by the Amendment Act 9 of 1978.] or any revenue officer above the rank of a Mamlatdar or Inspector of Surveys and Land Records may, at any time, either on his own motion or on the application of any party, call for the records of any inquiry or proceedings before any revenue or survey officer subordinate to him for the purpose of satisfying itself or himself, as the case may be, as to the legality or the propriety of any decision or order passed by such revenue or survey officer or as to the regularity of the proceedings of such officer and may pass such order in reference thereto as deemed fit or necessary:Provided that the Government or such officer shall not vary or reverse any order affecting any question of right without having given to the parties interested notice to appear and to be heard in support of such order:Provided also that no such record shall be called for after the expiry of one year from the date of the order sought to be revised or before the expiry of the appeal period or during the pendency of an appeal against such order.
