Section 26(1) in The West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences Act, 1995
(1)Subject to the provision of this Act and the Statutes, the University shall establish veterinary and animal sciences, fishery sciences, and dairy technology organisations for doing basic research on problems relating to veterinary surgery and medicine, animal husbandry, fishery, dairy technology, and allied subjects for the purpose of aiding the development of animal husbandry, fishery and dairy technology, and shall, for such purpose, establish as many veterinary, livestock, dairy and fishery research stations as may be necessary in co-operation with the concerned Departments of the University.
