Section 25(1) in Sardar Patel University of Police, Security and Criminal Justice, Jodhpur Act, 2012
(1)Subject to provisions of this Act, the Statutes, the Ordinances and Regulations, the Academic Council shall have the control and general regulation of the academic affairs and be responsible for the maintenance of standards of instructions and examinations in the University and for the requirements for the award of degrees and diplomas. The Academic Council shall -(i)exercise control over the academic policies of the University and be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of standards of instruction, education and evaluation in the University;(ii)consider matters of general academic interest either on its own initiative or on a reference from the faculty of the University or the Board and to take appropriate action thereon; and(iii)recommend to the Board, such Regulations as are consistent with this Act regarding the academic functioning of the University including discipline of students.
