Section 43(1) in Kerala District Administration Act, 1979
(1)The President or the Vice-President or the Chairman of any Standing Committee or any member other than an ex-officio member may resign his Office a·; such President or Vice-President or Chairman or member by giving notice in writing to the district council and the notice shall be delivered to the Secretary who shall place the same before the district council at its next meeting. Where the notice of resignation is not delivered personally to the Secretary, he shall, on receipt of the notice of resignation, obtain confirmation from the person concerned as to its genuineness, before it is placed before the district council.
