(4)Assistant Director-(I) Fifty per cent by promotion through the Commission from amongst substantively appointed Senior Fisheries Inspectors, Chemists and Lecturer, who have completed five years of the service as such on the first day of the year of recruitment; Provided that for promotion to the post of Assistant Director the candidate of higher scale will be placed higher in order of seniority in the combined section list.(II)Fifty per cent by direct recruitment through the Commission.
