Section 214(1) in The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Act, 1981
(1)The Commissioner may, by notice, require the owner or occupier of any building or land adjoining a public street o construct culverts or drain-covering over the side channels or ditches at the entrances to the said building or land.
