131. But all processes to be stayed on security being given.
(1)Any defaulter detained in custody shall forthwith be set at liberty and the execution of any process shall, at any time, be stayed, on the defaulter's giving before the Collector or if the defaulter is in jail, before the officer in charge of such jail, security in the prescribed form satisfactory to the Collector or to such officer.(2)Any person against whom proceedings are taken under this Chapter may pay the amount claimed under protest to the officer taking such proceedings, and upon such payment, the proceedings shall be stayed.
