Section 5(1) in The Himachal Pradesh Police Act, 2007
(1)For the overall control and supervision of the Police Service, the State Government shall appoint a Director-General of Police who shall exercise such powers and perform such functions and duties and shall have such responsibilities and such authority as may be provided by or under this Act or rules made thereunder.
