28. Hygrometer not to be affixed to wall, etc., unless protected by wood.
(1)[ No hygrometer shall be fixed to a wall, pillar or other surface unless protected therefrom by wood or other heat non-conducting material of at least 13mm thickness placed at a distance of at least 25 mm from the bulb of each thermometer.] [Substituted by W. Factories Amendment Rules, 1991, dated 27.11.1991](2)No hygrometer shall be fixed at a height of more than 1.7 meters from the floor to the top of thermometer stem or in the direct draughts from a fan. window or ventilating opening.
