Section 150(1) in Jammu and Kashmir Forest (Protection) Force Rules, 2012
(1)Any officer of the rank of Assistant Director of the Force Unit may, without the order of the Magistrate investigate any forest offence triable under(i)J&K Forest Act, Samvat 1987 (1930 AD);(ii)J&K Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1978 AD;(iii)Any act under which forest officers have powers to take cognizance of the offence related to the Forests and Forestrywhich a court having jurisdiction over the local area within the limits of such units, would have powers to inquire into or try under the provisions of Criminal Procedure Code, Samvat 1989 relating to the place of inquiry or trial.
