Mr. Vikas Singh, learned senior counsel for the petitioners, submits that in Federal Bank Ltd. & Others Vs. State of Kerala & Others, (2007) 4 SCC 188, this Court was Signature Not Verified Digitally signed by concerned with the definition of ’Dealer’ in Kerala General Rajesh Dham Date: 2014.07.26 13:24:49 IST Reason: Sales Tax Act, 1963, as amended by Kerala Finance Act, 1998. Learned senior counsel further submits that the definition of 2 ’Dealer’ in Odisha Value Added Tax Act, 2004 is significantly different.

Issue notice returnable in ten weeks.

Dasti, in addition to the ordinary process, is permitted.

In the meanwhile, no coercive process shall be taken against the petitioners for recovery of the demand amount.
