Section 46(1) in Tamil Nadu Village Panchayats (Receipts and Expenditure and Maintenance of the Accounts of Village Panchayats) Rules, 2000
(1)Pay, leave salary and allowances may be drawn for the day of death of an officer or servant of the village panchayat. The hour at which death takes place does not affect the claim.
