Section 5(b) in The Delhi Police (Appointment & Recruitment) Rules, 1980
(b)[ In rule 5 of the Delhi Police (Amendment and Recruitment) Rules, 1980, hereinafter referred to as the "Principal Rules" for the existing sub-rule (b) the following shall be substituted "(b) Other things being equaL, in the recruitment for various tests in Delhi Police, sons/daughters of serving/retired/deceased Police personnel including the Class IV employees of Delhi Police, shall be given preference over other candidates subject to their fulfilling the prescribed educational and physical standards and also subject to such appointment not exceeding 5% of the total number of vacancies in a year.] [Substituted by Noti.
